Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Dopamind mobile application and the website getdopamind.com (together, the "Service"), which are owned and operated by PixelnStack ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to them. How we handle your data is set out separately in our privacy policy.

1. What Dopamind is (and isn't)

Dopamind is a self-improvement and habit-change tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Content in the app, including articles, timelines, coach responses and progress estimates, is for informational and motivational purposes only. If you are experiencing severe distress, consult a qualified health professional.

Dopamind is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line straight away. The app lists helplines by region, but it cannot send help to you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Dopamind is about sexual behaviour and carries an adult rating on both app stores, so it is not built for minors, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

3. Your account

• Dopamind creates an anonymous account for you on first launch. Signing in with Apple, Google or an emailed code is optional and only adds a way back into your account from another device.
• A signed-in account can be open on up to three devices at a time. Signing in on a fourth signs out the one that has gone longest without being used.
• Your account is for you. Do not share your sign-in or sell access to it.
• You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete my account, as the privacy policy explains.

4. Premium, subscriptions & free trials

• Dopamind is free to download. Premium features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The plans, their prices in your currency and any free trial are shown in the app and by the store before you confirm a purchase.
• Payment is charged to your store account. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• If a plan comes with a free trial, the trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Free trials are offered once per phone, not once per store account.
• We may show a one-time discount offer. It is offered once per phone, it applies only to the plan it names, and it is not a promise of future discounts.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Dopamind account does not cancel it. Only the store can.
• Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policies. To use a subscription on a new phone, sign in to the same store account and tap Restore purchases.

5. Kai, the AI coach

Kai is an AI. Its replies are generated by a language model, and they can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to your situation. Kai is not a doctor, a therapist or a crisis counsellor, and nothing it says is professional advice. When a message suggests you may be in crisis, Kai points you to helplines rather than answering as a coach.

Kai has a daily message limit, so that the coach stays available for everyone. Do not use it to produce sexual content, content involving minors, or anything meant to harm you or someone else. We may limit or suspend access to Kai for an account that does.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service, including attempting to reverse-engineer the app, get around its paywall or its limits, abuse the AI coach, or interfere with the Service's operation.

7. Your content

What you write in Dopamind (journal entries, check-ins, messages to Kai) stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as far as running the Service needs: to back it up, to sync it to your other devices, and to let Kai answer you.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, articles, audio, text and software, is owned by PixelnStack or its licensors and protected by applicable laws. Some sound tracks are used under Creative Commons licences; their credits are listed in the app.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is used to attack or abuse the Service or the people who use it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular recovery outcome. Results depend on you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixelnStack shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer right you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
